Officers have charged a man with multiple sexual offences following an investigation into alleged offending against two women on the Isle of Wight.
37-year-old Alexander Scott France of Pondwell Close, Ryde, has been charged with eleven offences against two separate women dating from 2015 to 2025. One count of rape on Thursday 9 April 2015 in Cowes, and two counts of rape on Monday 29 September 2025 in RydeTwo counts of sexual assault by penetration between Thursday 1 January 2015 and Sunday 31 December 2023 in CowesTwo counts of sexual assault by touching between Thursday 1 January 2015 and Sunday 31 December 2023 in Cowes, and one count of sexual assault by touching on Monday 29 September 2025 in RydeOne count of voyeurism on Thursday 4 December 2025 in CowesTwo counts of assault by beating on Monday 29 September 2025 in RydeFrance appeared at Isle of Wight Crown Court on Saturday 6 December where he was remanded into custody.
